HONG KONG, China – Aug. 27, 2026 – Oh My Ink, the Hong Kong art-tech company behind the world’s first tattoo try-on technology, will co-organize the 2026 Hong Kong China International Tattoo Exhibition, known as Tattoo Con, together with G-S CHINA. The three-day event runs Oct. 16-18 at SoHo House Hong Kong from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily across two exhibition floors. Oh My Ink, winner of the SunEvision Startup Program 2026, will bring its tattoo try-on technology to the show floor alongside an international roster of exhibiting tattoo artists, with more names to follow through official convention channels.
The Tattoo Con visitors will find five to six Tattoo Try-On Machines spread across the venue’s two floors, deployed at two to three machines per floor, with each floor’s machines showcasing the flash designs of that floor’s exhibiting artists. The machines run what Oh My Ink describes as the world’s first AI-Powered Tattoo Try-On Technology. Visitors choose a design, move and resize it on screen, and see exactly how the tattoo would sit on their own body before committing to ink. Ahead of the convention, exhibiting artists will be able to upload their flashes, meaning pre-designed tattoo artwork, so a visitor can preview a specific artist’s flash on the machines, walk over to that artist, and get it tattooed the same day. Oh My Ink is encouraging exhibiting artists to take part in the flash-upload feature, which the company positions as a direct path from a digital preview to a booked tattoo appointment.
“We built this so a client and an artist can agree on a design before a needle touches skin, not so the technology replaces that conversation,” said John Ip, founder of Oh My Ink.
Tattoo Con will close on Oct. 18 with a competition judged across Black & Grey, Colour and Old School categories, plus an overall Best of Show award. Each category winner receives a wall-mounted Try-On TV, and the Best of Show winner receives a floor-standing Flagship Try-On Machine. A Most Tried-On Artist award will also be presented, going to the exhibiting artist whose flash designs are previewed most often on Oh My Ink’s Tattoo Try-On Machines across the three days. The convention will also run a music and fashion program featuring DJ Fergus, Just Play The Guitar, 1208studio, Shijie Guitars and a CHIBI T-shirt design from Meow Meow.
“Co-organizing this exhibition with G-S CHINA gives our exhibiting artists a bigger stage than any single studio could offer on its own, and the flash-upload feature means their best work is already loaded onto the try-on machines before a single visitor walks through the door,” said John, Founder and CEO of Oh My Ink.
